Actor | Model | Singer | Saxophonist | Dancer

I’m Christen “Chrissie” Roux — a dynamic performer originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, now living my dream in New York City. I graduated from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in October 2024 with a 4.0 GPA. AMDA is internationally recognized for its rigorous training and commitment to shaping industry-ready artists. There, I trained with working professionals on a wide range of roles including Eliza Hamilton (Hamilton), Elphaba (Wicked), Jenna (Waitress), Heather McNamara (Heathers), and Sally Bowles (Cabaret), all of which helped shape me into a versatile, emotionally connected performer.

Since graduating, I’ve been consistently employed in my industry — working on multiple vertical mini-series and short films that have expanded my on-camera experience and deepened my storytelling craft.

My artistic foundation is rooted in music. I’ve trained in classical saxophone (soprano, alto, and tenor) for over a decade, performing in a jazz band, orchestra, and as lead first soprano in choir. I’ve studied voice with Juilliard alumna June Kraus and trained at the Malie Kelly Academy. In 2021, I had the honor of attending the Juilliard Winter Festival, a transformative experience that enriched both my vocal technique and my understanding of musical storytelling.

I also trained in acting and modeling at Famous Talent Agency and am proudly signed with Dancho Models, a well-regarded boutique agency in New York City celebrated for its keen eye for talent and commitment to representing bold, diverse voices.

Whether on stage, on screen, or in front of the camera, I bring heart, precision, and an unshakable love for the craft. I’m here to tell stories that move people — and my journey is just beginning.
